小さな美術館 くにじ庵

50歳を過ぎてから木版画家として活動を始めた曽根邦治氏（1928年-2019年）のアトリエ兼ギャラリー。富士山や茶畑などの日本の美しい原風景だけでなく、かつて世界を旅した曽根邦治氏が見た風景が版画として残されています。

曽根邦治氏を慕う皆様の手によって、土日、祝日には美術館として公開され、その意思を継ぎながら今もこの場所で版画作品が刷られています。

Step into the creative world of Kuniji Sone (1928–2019), a renowned woodblock artist who captured Japan’s timeless beauty and the vibrant scenes of his global travels. Now open as a gallery on weekends and holidays, his former studio offers visitors a glimpse into his creative spirit and artistic journey.

自然の中に溶け込むように佇む建物は宮大工によって造られたもので、なだらかな自然の傾斜とそのまま生かした設計。坂道を下る不思議な感覚に包まれながら、回廊を通ってギャラリーへ。時を超えて版画によって再現された風景が、自然光がそそぐやわらかな空間の中に広がります。らせん状の階段を見上げながら奥へ進むと、窓の向こうには泉ヶ谷の緑を望む小さな庭があって、ヤマガラやシジュウカラ、メジロなどの小鳥たちが集まってきます。

Emphasizing the gentle slope on which it stands, this architectural gem reflects the harmony of nature and craftsmanship. Built by master carpenters, the wood construction and flowing design invite you to explore every corner of this naturally lit space. Inside, Sone’s detailed woodblock prints bring landscapes to life, while outside, birdsong fills a garden overlooking Izumigaya’s lush greenery.
